On Sunday, October 12th about a dozen brave souls bundled with warm clothes and rain gear to participate in the 2014 Broomfield CROP Hunger Walk organized by Rotary Club of Broomfield Crossing. CROP Hunger Walks are sponsored by Church World Services as a way for neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. This year part of the proceeds from the Broomfield walk went to Broomfield FISH and North Denver Cares Food Pantry. We had teams from Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, Broomfield United Methodist Church and United Church of Broomfield participating in this year’s walk. Holy Comforter won the traveling trophy for the most donations raised and United Church of Broomfield won the traveling trophy for the most walkers participating. Thanks to the Broomfield community for supporting this most important cause.
