Riders joined us on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 for the 1st Annual Triple C Bike Ride. The Colorado Coal Century or “Triple C” Bike Ride was put on by passionate Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Broomfield Crossing along with premium sponsors Infinitus PIE and Golden Bear Bikes to create this one of a kind early season century trainer to get cyclists ready for summer riding season and raise money for our Rotary Club and the Second Wind Fund of Boulder and Broomfield Counties www.swfbc.org, a critical teen suicide prevention program. Other sponsors included: John Rowe, Swan Ink, Broomfield Auto Center, Old Style Sausage, and TopTrack, LLC.

The scenic route was carefully selected with the help of some avid cyclists, following the historic northern Colorado coal seam that runs from Marshall in the southwest to the Dacono, Frederick Firestone townships in the northeast. It was a 104.3 mile ride, had a relatively low 2185 feet of elevation gain. Starting at Infinitus PIE in Broomfield, heading northeast and meander through beautiful farm country to the tri cities of Dacono, Frederick and Firestone, swinging back through Berthoud, Longmont, Niwot, Gunbarrel, Boulder, Marshall, Superior, ride the "Mini Wall” and head back to Infinitus PIE for tasty post ride iPIE’s, beers, and festivities.

We look forward to hosting this ride again next spring and for many years to come. Please watch for announcements on this web site and in future publications.
